The Snohomish Senior Center
For more than thirty years, the Snohomish Senior Center has enhanced the quality of life for older adults in the community. Today, the Center serves more than 1,200 people, ranging in age from young adult to 106. They come from all walks of life, stay actively engaged, and bring energy, curiosity, and a strong sense of connection to the world around them.
Located in the historic City of Snohomish, a community of approximately 10,700 residents, the Center is a valued local resource supported by community members, businesses, grants
volunteers, donors, and public partners. What began as a small all-volunteer effort has grown into a respected nonprofit with six dedicated staff members and a strong culture of welcoming culture of service and community pride.
The Center’s mission is to promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and economic well- being of adults through a wide variety of activities, services, and opportunities for learning, participation, and social connection both at the Center and beyond. Its vision is to be an indispensable asset to seniors and the broader community.
The programs and services offered by the Snohomish Senior Center reflect the diverse interests of its members. Programs include health and fitness activities, lifelong learning, recreation, arts, travel, games, clubs, and social gatherings that help members stay active, informed, and connected.
The Center maintains strong collaborative relationships across the community. Its monthly newsletter reaches more than 1,200 readers, helping members and supporters stay connected to programs, events, and opportunities. In addition, the Fabulously Frugal Thrift Shop, owned and operated by the Center, provides an important and visible source of community engagement and financial support.
From signature fundraising events to volunteer-driven programs and daily member activities, the Snohomish Senior Center is known as a welcoming, active, and mission-focused organization. The next Executive Director will have the opportunity to build on that strong foundation and help shape an exciting next chapter.
