At the heart of the community is the North Powder Charter School (NPSC), a K-12 school dedicated to providing a supportive, inclusive, and excellent educational environment for all students.
The community is an integral part of the school’s success, and the area offers a wealth of activities and a strong, friendly small-town atmosphere. Community highlights include:

The North Powder School District:
The North Powder School District’s enrollment is approximately 260 students K-12. All students are served on one campus at the recently modernized North Powder Charter School. Our school prides itself on a low student-teacher ratio, allowing for personalized attention and strong student-staff relationships that foster academic and personal growth.
Key programs & features of the North Powder School District include:
- Career & Technical Education – Hands-on programs like Agricultural Science (FFA), Plant Science, Animal Science, Ag Mechanics, and even courses in Fire Science and Phlebotomy.
- Art and Music programs K-12.
- College Credit Opportunities – Students can take a variety of college and dual credit courses including Spanish, Math, Communications, and History.
- Strong Community Ties – We believe positive community support and involvement are critical to student success. We host events like Open Houses, Academic Awards Nights, and the district is actively engaged with the community.

The North Powder School District is guided by a single superintendent and also a K-12 principal. The district is supported by the InterMountain Education Service District (IMESD) for administrative services in budgeting, payroll, human resources, and special education.
